• M.Sc. : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Science
• M.A. and M.L.I.Sc. : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• M.A. (Five-Year Integrated) : Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent

Seat reservation for SC - 15%; ST - 7.5%; OBC - 27%; Differently abled (PH) 3%. For Kashmiri Migrant students: increase in intake capacity up to 5% - course wise (as per Government rules).

• The entrance examination fee for appearing in one programme is :
  • General candidate : Rs. 500/-
  • OBC (Only Non-Creamy-Layer) candidate : Rs. 250/-

• For appearing in two or more programmes(maximum three), the fee is :
  • General candidate : Rs. 600/-

  Fee can be paid through Demand Draft made in favour of "Central University of Gujarat" drawn by any nationalized bank and payable at Gandhinagar only.

Note : The University reserves its rights to change/cancel or retain any of the above centres in case the number of candidates at any centre falls below 20. In the event of less than 20 candidates applying for appearing at a particular Centre, exams would not be held at that Centre and candidates would be allotted the Centre of their second/third choice.

• Admission fee, enrolment fee, general security deposit and library security deposit are payable at the time of enrolment in the University.
• Examination fee shall be payable at the time of submission of M.Phil. dissertation andPh.D. thesis for evaluation.
• Fine amounting to Rs. 50 per week shall be levied for non–payment of the prescribed fees on due date as specified by the University.
• The fee structure is valid for the academic year beginning from the year 2014-15.
• Convocation fee, if any, for the conferring of Degrees or for other purposes may be decided by the University at appropriate time. If a student does not pay fees by the notified date, a fine will be levied as per rules of the University.
